Will This Fix My Problem?

Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.

Fixes:

  • Hard cold starts that improve once warm
  • Rough idle, misfire, or a persistent dead-miss cylinder
  • Loss of power under load on the 6.0
  • No-start with FICM / injector-driver codes (P061x range)
  • A FICM voltage reading that sags below spec

Won't fix:

  • Mechanical injector, HPOP, or fuel-supply faults
  • Wiring/connector faults upstream of the FICM
  • Non-6.0 Powerstroke modules (6.4/6.7 use different electronics)
  • A FICM so damaged the board cannot be rebuilt — we tell you first

Repair your original, not gamble on a used one

A used FICM is a coin flip — you are buying another truck's aging power supply and hoping it lasts longer than yours did. Repairing your original targets the actual failure: the power-supply section and its solder joints, rebuilt and then load-tested to confirm a strong, stable output. It is the same board-level bench work behind our other module repairs, applied to the single most common electronic failure on the 6.0 Powerstroke.

Frequently Asked

Still have a question? Text us — replies in minutes.

How do I know it is the FICM?
The classic signs are hard cold starts that clear up once warm, rough running or a dead-miss, loss of power, or a no-start with FICM/injector-driver codes in the P061x range — and a FICM voltage that reads below the ~48V it should hold. If you can measure the FICM voltage and it sags, that is a strong tell. Note your symptoms and codes when you ship and we work from those.
Do you repair my module or send a different one?
We repair your original — the power-supply section and its solder joints are rebuilt and then the output is load-tested to a stable 48V. You get your own module back, which avoids the used-FICM gamble entirely.
How long does it take?
Two to three days on the bench once your FICM arrives, plus shipping each way. It is a board-level rebuild and load test, not a plug-in reflash, so it is not same-day — but the fix targets the real failure rather than masking it.
Does this cover the 6.4 or 6.7 Powerstroke?
No — this service is specific to the 2003-2010 6.0L Powerstroke FICM. The 6.4 and 6.7 use different fuel-control electronics. If you are not sure which you have, send your VIN and we confirm before you ship.
What if my FICM is too far gone?
We assess before doing the work and tell you if a board is beyond economical repair rather than surprising you. You are never charged for a repair we cannot deliver.
