Arizona FAQ

Common questions from customers shipping from Arizona.

How long does shipping take from Arizona to your Arlington TX workshop?
USPS Priority Mail from Phoenix, AZ reaches our Arlington workshop in about 2 business days. UPS Ground similar. We start work the same day your module arrives, and ship back next business day with return shipping included.
How much does it cost to ship from Arizona?
USPS Priority Mail flat-rate from Arizona to Arlington TX runs about $11. Customer pays shipping to us; return shipping back to Arizona is included in the $150 service price.
Do you accept modules from Arizona?
Yes — we ship to and from all 50 US states including Arizona. Our Arlington TX workshop receives modules from Phoenix and the rest of Arizona every week.
Is there a gm vats delete (1986-2005) shop in Phoenix I should use instead?
Most local Phoenix shops don't offer gm vats delete (1986-2005) as a bench service — they'd send the part to someone like us anyway. Going direct saves the markup and shortens the timeline. Total round-trip from Phoenix: typically 5-7 days.
Is this for VATS or Passlock?
VATS — the older resistor-pellet key system used 1986-2005. Passlock (1995+) is different and uses a magnetic Hall sensor in the column. For Passlock issues, see our GM Cluster Upgrade + Mileage Program service.
Will my car still pass emissions / smog?
Yes. VATS is independent of the emissions system. The OBD-I or OBD-II readiness, fuel trims, and emissions codes operate identically to before — only the anti-theft authentication is bypassed.
Do I need to send the key?
No. After VATS delete, any physical key that mechanically turns the ignition will start the car. Existing keys still work; the ECM just stops checking the resistor value.
