Why won't a used Smart Fortwo ECU start my car?
The engine ECU stores the immobilizer relationship, so a used ECU from another Fortwo carries the wrong data and the car cranks without firing. Cloning your original ECU's data onto that donor makes it a module the car already trusts.
Which Smart models are supported?
Most reliably the Fortwo 451 (2008-2015) with the Mitsubishi 1.0L and Bosch ECU, plus earlier 450 systems. Coverage is confirmed by the ECU part number and a photo of the label before you ship.
Can you help if my original ECU is dead?
Cloning copies from a readable source, so a completely dead board cannot be cloned. If it will not read at all, our advanced ECU recovery service may still extract the data — send the symptoms first.
Do you require proof of ownership?
