Birmingham FAQ

Common questions from customers shipping from Birmingham.

How long does shipping take from Birmingham to Arlington TX?
USPS Priority Mail from Birmingham typically arrives in 2 business days at our Arlington workshop. UPS Ground similar. Same-day work starts when your module hits our bench.
How much does it cost to ship from Birmingham?
We email you a prepaid inbound label — shipping to us costs you nothing; return shipping ($29.95 standard / $54.95 2-day / $94.95 overnight) is chosen at checkout.
Do you accept modules from Birmingham?
Yes — we ship to/from all 50 US states. Birmingham is one of our active metros given central Alabama's largest metro.
Is there a shop in Birmingham that does range rover / jaguar key programming (kvm)?
Most local shops in Birmingham don't have the bench equipment for this kind of work — they'd send the module to a specialty workshop like ours regardless.
How do I know which page is mine?
By model year: 2010-2017 here, 2018 and newer on the RFA page, both $550. The label on the keyless module confirms the hardware: DPLA, FK72, HPLA or BJ32 in front of 19H440 is the KVM generation; JPLA, J9C3, K8D2 or M9R3 is the newer RFA. Text us a photo of the label if you are not sure.
Which number on the label do I read?
The hardware number, the one with 19H440 in the middle, such as FK72-19H440-AF. A number with 14C104 in the middle is the software version, not the module.
Is the KVM the same part as the RFA?
Same job, two generations. JLR's own documents call the keyless module by both names. The KVM generation (DPLA, FK72, HPLA, BJ32) has an MC9S12 processor; the RFA generation (JPLA, J9C3, K8D2, M9R3) has an SPC560, which can be locked.
