Why Texas customers mail in subaru biu key programming (mail-in)

Texas has roughly 22.8 million registered vehicles, and full-size pickups & SUVs make up much of what Houston-area shops and owners mail us. Texas FAQ

How long does shipping take from Texas to your Arlington TX workshop?
USPS Priority Mail from Houston, TX reaches our Arlington workshop in about 1 business day. USPS Priority routes through the North Texas distribution network; 1 day from most of the state. We start work the same day your module arrives and typically ship back next business day at the return speed you chose at checkout.
How much does it cost to ship a module from Texas?

Do you accept subaru biu key programming (mail-in) modules from Texas?
Yes — we receive modules from Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin and the rest of Texas regularly. With about 22.8 million registered vehicles statewide, full-size pickups & SUVs are the bulk of what we see from Texas.
Is there a subaru biu key programming (mail-in) shop in Houston I should use instead?
Most Houston shops don't keep the bench equipment for subaru biu key programming (mail-in) — they'd forward the module to a specialist anyway, which adds a markup and a middleman. Going direct to us is usually faster and cheaper. Same-state — fastest possible round-trip.
Does Texas vehicle inspection or emissions testing affect this service?
Texas ended its annual safety inspection for most non-commercial vehicles in 2025; emissions testing still applies in designated metro counties. Confirm current requirements with the Texas DMV. Our service is bench module programming only — you remain responsible for your vehicle's compliance with all Texas and federal requirements.
What is a Subaru BIU and why does losing all keys make it complicated?
The Body Integrated Unit is Subaru's under-dash body computer and the core of the immobilizer. The key, BIU, instrument cluster and engine computer all share a matched ID set - so with every key gone there's no working key to copy from, and the data has to be reworked at the module level.
Which Subarus does BIU all-keys-lost programming cover?
Most reliably the blade G-key models from roughly 2012-2017 - Impreza, Legacy, Outback, Forester, WRX/STI and Crosstrek/XV - plus the BRZ / 86 / FR-S. Smart-key (push-button) trims and newer years should be checked by VIN and a module photo first.
