ABS no communication — ABS module fails to respond to OBD scanner
Mercedes/BMW diagnostic code. Below: what it means, common causes, symptoms, and the exact bench-programming fix path.
Common causes
- •Failed ABS controller (most common after 8-12 years)
- •Loss of power to module
- •CAN-bus fault
- •Ground point corrosion
Symptoms you'll see
- •ABS, traction, stability all disabled
- •Speedometer reads zero (some chassis)
- •Brake lights stuck on or non-functional
The fix path
Verify 12V + ground at the ABS connector. If module isn't receiving power, that's a wiring fix. If it has power but doesn't respond, ship to AML for repair ($250).
