ABS no communication — ABS module fails to respond to OBD scanner

Common causes

  • •Failed ABS controller (most common after 8-12 years)
  • •Loss of power to module
  • •CAN-bus fault
  • •Ground point corrosion

Symptoms you'll see

  • •ABS, traction, stability all disabled
  • •Speedometer reads zero (some chassis)
  • •Brake lights stuck on or non-functional

The fix path

Verify 12V + ground at the ABS connector. If module isn't receiving power, that's a wiring fix. If it has power but doesn't respond, ship to AML for repair ($499).
