Will This Fix My Problem?
Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.
Fixes:
- ✓No-start immobilizer fault traced to a failed central electronics / body module
- ✓Used or replacement module installed and the car won't accept its keys
- ✓Dead body module you're replacing with a matching donor unit
- ✓Configuration / VIN mismatch after a module swap on a VH-platform Aston
- ✓Water- or electrically-damaged module that still powers up — clone it before it dies
- ✓You want your original module's identity carried onto healthy donor hardware
Won't fix:
- ✗Does not include the donor module — you source a matching hardware variant (we verify it first)
- ✗Does not clone a module that is internally dead or unreadable — there is no data to copy
- ✗Does not guarantee coverage on every module or year — this is cloning where supported, quoted per unit
- ✗Does not repair the module hardware, key antenna, or ignition/steering-lock itself
- ✗Does not fix a no-start caused by fuel, spark, sensors, wiring, or a dead battery
- ✗May require different handling on newer Aston systems — verified case-by-case
- ✗Does not bypass proof of ownership
Exotic electronics — we quote and verify first, always
Aston Martin built the DB9-through-Rapide era on VH-platform electronics derived from Ford and Volvo (Visteon), which means the immobilizer and configuration live in a CEM-style central module plus the engine ECU — and the exact hardware, connector, and security storage vary by model and year. Because these are low-volume, high-value cars, we never advertise a blanket guaranteed clone: we quote and verify your specific module by part number and clear photos before you ship anything, so you know the outcome before you pay. Where the platform supports it, we copy the immobilizer, configuration, and VIN identity onto a matching donor so your keys keep working and the replacement drops in. A dead or unreadable original can't be cloned, the donor must be a matching hardware variant, and newer systems may need different handling. Proof of ownership is required for any immobilizer or security work.
Shipping Instructions
These details are also emailed to you the moment your payment clears.
Verify first: text or email us your VIN plus clear photos of the failed module's part-number label (and the donor's, if you have one, plus proof of ownership) — a technician quotes coverage and confirms the donor is a matching hardware variant before you ship. Then send the failed module and the donor to PO Box 120241, Arlington TX 76012 if you ship USPS — or 1009 Oakwood Ln # 120241, Arlington TX 76012 if you ship UPS or FedEx (UPS and FedEx cannot deliver to a PO Box). We clone on the bench, test communication, and ship everything back via the return option you pick at checkout (Standard $24.95, UPS 2-Day $54.95, or UPS overnight $94.95).
What to include in your box
- Your failed Aston Martin module (if it powers up — this is the clone path) AND the matching donor module
- Year, make, model, and engine (e.g. 2010 Aston Martin DB9 6.0L V12)
- VIN of the vehicle
- The part number off BOTH module labels (we pre-verify the match and quote coverage)
- What is wrong now: no-start immobilizer fault, dead module, keys not accepted, etc.
- How many working keys you currently have
- Proof of ownership (title, registration, or bill of sale)
- Your name, return address, and phone number
