Why we use it
AVDI is the gold-standard for Mercedes EIS work (pre-FBS4) and Land Rover/Jaguar KVM/RFA virginize + key programming. We use it for the hardest Mercedes and JLR jobs where no other tool will close the loop.
When we reach for it
Every Mercedes EIS cloning job that requires beyond-VVDI capability. All Jaguar/Land Rover KVM virginize + key programming work. Some niche BMW coding scenarios where ISTA falls short.
What it doesn't do
Expensive. Subscription model can sting. Not the right tool for VW/Audi or for cheap-and-fast Asian jobs (overkill). The learning curve is real — newer technicians need weeks to get comfortable.
