A reset returns the module to its pre-crash state — the same state it shipped in before the deployment. It does not alter the deployment logic. After reinstalling, the system self-tests on every key cycle exactly as designed. If we find internal damage that a reset can't make right, we tell you and refund instead of shipping back a module we wouldn't put in our own car.
Why not just buy a used RCM?
Used Lincoln modules usually carry the donor car's coding — and on many platforms they're VIN-married, so the car rejects them or needs dealer programming. Your original module is already matched to your vehicle; clearing it keeps everything plug-and-play.
