VW / Audi Bosch Engine-ECU Clone to a Donor (MED17 · EDC17 · PCR2.1)
Used VW or Audi ECU that cranks but won't start? We clone your original onto the donor — VIN, immobilizer, and coding carried over — so it drops in and runs, immobilizer intact.

Will This Fix My Problem?
Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.
Fixes:
- ✓Used VW/Audi ECU cranks but never starts (immobilizer mismatch)
- ✓Failed ECU you want to replace without a dealer session
- ✓Water or corrosion damage with a still-readable board
- ✓Keeping the factory immobilizer while replacing the hardware
Won't fix:
- ✗Original ECU completely dead and unreadable — cloning needs a readable source
- ✗Deleting the immobilizer for a swap — see the immo-off services instead
- ✗Emissions edits of any kind (not offered)
- ✗No-starts from sensors, fuel, or wiring — diagnose first
Keep the immobilizer, replace the hardware
A cloned ECU keeps your car's factory anti-theft fully active — the opposite of an immo-delete. We copy your original's complete data, immobilizer relationship included, onto the donor, so the replacement is one the car already trusts. That is the right path for a normal repair where you want the security system untouched; the immo-off services exist for the separate case of a legitimate build that removes the immobilizer. The one prerequisite is that your original reads.
