What we do

  • A brand-new WIN, never installed anywhere
  • Your VIN and security data written on the bench
  • Your FOBIK keys paired when you send them with the old module
  • Powered and verified before it ships

Not the WIN

  • Push-button / keyless-go vehicles use an RF hub, not a WIN — text your VIN
  • 2007 and earlier turn-key models use SKIM or SKREEM — see the SKIM key pages

Will This Fix My Problem?

Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.

Fixes:

  • FOBIK key will not turn, or will not come out of the ignition
  • No crank with a good battery — dash lights up, the starter never engages
  • Engine shuts off over bumps or while driving, then restarts (the recalled WIN failure)
  • "Key not detected" or "ignition not in park" messages with a known-good key
  • Key recognized only on the third or fourth try
  • A used WIN you installed that will not accept the vehicle or the keys

Won't fix:

  • A worn FOBIK with a cracked transponder — often the cheaper fix, text us before you buy a module
  • Starter, battery or ground faults when the key IS recognized normally
  • Push-button start vehicles (RF hub / keyless module — a different part)
  • PCM, BCM or TIPM faults — those have their own pages
  • Vehicles outside verified coverage — send your VIN and part number and we confirm

Why a used WIN is a dead end

The WIN holds the vehicle's security identity and the list of keys it trusts, and a used unit keeps the identity of the vehicle it came from — no on-car procedure rewrites it. That is why a junkyard WIN lights the dash and refuses to crank. A brand-new module is blank, so it can be built as YOUR module on the bench: VIN, security data and your keys written before it ships. It is the dealer's replacement-plus-programming job, done without the tow.

Shipping Instructions

These details are also emailed to you the moment your payment clears.

The new module ships TO you. Before ordering, text or email your VIN and the part number printed on your existing WIN so we can confirm the exact match. To have your keys paired, ship your old WIN (dead is fine) and your FOBIK keys with your order number to PO Box 120241, Arlington TX 76012 (USPS) or 1009 Oakwood Ln # 120241, Arlington TX 76012 (UPS/FedEx); they come back in the box with the new module. No old module or keys? Text us first. Outbound shipping speed is selected and paid at checkout — Standard $29.95 (3–5 days), UPS 2-Day $54.95, or UPS overnight $94.95.

What to include in your box

  • Your old WIN (dead is fine) and your FOBIK keys, so the new module comes back with your keys paired
  • At checkout: your VIN (required — it is written to the module)
  • Text or email the part number off your old WIN before ordering
  • Proof of ownership (registration or title in your name)
  • Tell us your exact symptoms — a cracked FOBIK is a cheaper fix than a module

Frequently Asked

Still have a question? Text us — replies in minutes.

Is the module new or used?
Brand new, never installed anywhere. A used WIN keeps the identity of the vehicle it came from and there is no on-car procedure to rewrite it, which is why this is one part we do not source used.
Do I have to send my old WIN and my keys?
To have your FOBIK keys paired before it ships, yes — send the old module (dead is fine) and your keys with your order number, and everything comes back together. If the old module is gone or you have no keys at all, text us first: we can program the new WIN to your VIN with proof of ownership and quote new FOBIKs paired to it.
How is this different from the SKIM key pages?
SKIM is the 1998-2007 turn-key system with a plastic ring around the ignition lock. The WIN replaced it on FOBIK-key vehicles from about 2008: if your key is a thick plastic FOBIK that slides into a slot and turns, this is your page. Push-button start vehicles use an RF hub instead.
What does the dealer charge?
A WIN replacement at the dealer typically runs $900-$1,300 once the part, the programming and the key pairing are stacked up, and the vehicle usually has to be towed in because it will not start. This is $650 shipped, programmed and paired.
What do I do at install?
Unplug the old WIN from the column, plug the new one in, and turn the key. When we built it from your old module and keys there is no relearn to perform; when we programmed it from the VIN alone, the notes in the box cover the one-time handshake the vehicle may ask for.
Which vehicles have a WIN?
Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles with the slot-type FOBIK key from about 2008 through 2018 — the minivans and the Journey kept it to 2020. Push-button start models use an RF hub, and 2007-and-earlier turn-key models use SKIM or SKREEM. Send your VIN and we confirm before you order.
