Will This Fix My Problem?

Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.

Fixes:

  • No-start after installing a used/junkyard Honda or Acura ECU
  • Blinking immobilizer/key light after an ECU swap
  • Immobilizer system fault with a donor ECM that won't run
  • Replacing a failed PGM-FI ECU while keeping your keys
  • Donor ECU coded to a different car's keys

Won't fix:

  • Emissions or readiness-monitor defeat - no cat/EGR/O2 deletes
  • Performance tuning, K-Pro/Hondata jailbreaks, or remaps
  • Physically failed donor hardware (we clone data, not repair boards)
  • Mechanical, sensor, or wiring no-start causes unrelated to the ECU

Frequently Asked

Still have a question? Text us — replies in minutes.

Why won't a used Honda/Acura ECU start my car?
These PGM-FI ECUs are immobilizer-coded. The car checks the ECU's stored key data before allowing start, so a donor ECU coded to another vehicle will crank but not run until it's cloned to your keys.
Do I need a dealer re-flash after this?
No. Cloning copies your original immobilizer files onto the donor, so it installs plug-and-play and your existing keys work - no Honda HDS dealer programming required.
Do the part numbers have to match?
Yes - always match the donor's part number to your original (e.g. the 37820-series number on the label). Mismatched hardware revisions usually can't be cloned 1:1.
What do I ship you?
Both units: your original ECU (the immobilizer data source) and the part-number-matched donor ECM you want to run. We clone the data from yours onto the donor.
Can you remove the immobilizer or tune the ECU?
This service clones the immobilizer so a used ECU runs for repair/swap use. We don't perform emissions-defeat deletes or performance tuning.
