Will This Fix My Problem?
Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.
Fixes:
- ✓Body Computer / immobilizer system dead or unrecoverable and the engine will not start
- ✓Engine ECU going into a standalone or engine-swap build outside its original car
- ✓Orphaned ECU with no matching immobilizer to hand-shake against
- ✓Bench-testing a Maserati V8 on a stand with no body harness
- ✓A used ECU you want to run without the donor car's immobilizer
- ✓Cranks-but-no-start that a scan confirms is the immobilizer blocking the ECU
Won't fix:
- ✗Does NOT touch, remove, or defeat any emissions system — this is immobilizer-only
- ✗Does not preserve the immobilizer — if you want it kept, use our Maserati ECU clone service instead
- ✗Does not fix a no-start caused by fuel, spark, sensors, wiring, grounds, or a dead battery
- ✗Does not revive an ECU that is internally dead and will not power up or respond
- ✗Does not program keys or repair the Body Computer / immobilizer module itself
- ✗Does not cover ECU families outside the Bosch ME7 range without prior verification
- ✗Does not bypass proof of ownership — anti-theft-defeat work requires it, every time
Immobilizer-off vs. cloning — pick the right one, and what we will not do
Two different fixes. Cloning PRESERVES the factory immobilizer by copying your data onto a donor ECU — the right call when the car and its Body Computer are healthy and you just need working hardware. Immobilizer-off REMOVES the immobilizer requirement entirely, so the ECU runs with no handshake — the right call when the immobilizer system is unrecoverable, or the engine is going into a standalone or swap build with no factory security to talk to. Because immo-off defeats the anti-theft immobilizer, proof of ownership is required, no exceptions. And to be explicit: this is immobilizer-only. We do not touch, remove, or defeat any emissions control of any kind. A technician confirms your exact ECU part number before you ship.
Shipping Instructions
These details are also emailed to you the moment your payment clears.
Verify first: text or email us your VIN plus a clear photo of your engine ECU label (the Bosch and Maserati part numbers) — a technician confirms your exact ME7 unit is supported before you ship, and we collect proof of ownership at that point. Then send the ECU to PO Box 120241, Arlington TX 76012 if you ship USPS — or 1009 Oakwood Ln # 120241, Arlington TX 76012 if you ship UPS or FedEx (UPS and FedEx cannot deliver to a PO Box). We perform the immobilizer-off on the bench, test communication, and ship it back via the return option you pick at checkout (Standard $24.95, UPS 2-Day $54.95, or UPS overnight $94.95).
What to include in your box

- Year, make, model, and engine (e.g. 2010 Maserati GranTurismo 4.7L)
- VIN of the vehicle
- The Bosch and Maserati part numbers off the ECU label — we pre-verify support
- What you are doing: unrecoverable immobilizer, standalone build, engine swap, or bench test
- Proof of ownership (title, registration, or bill of sale) — REQUIRED for this immobilizer-defeat work
- Confirmation you are not requesting any emissions edit (we do not offer them)
- Your name, return address, and an email or number we can reach you at

Maserati BCM Key Programming (Mail-In)
Lost all keys to an older Maserati? Mail us the BCM / Body Computer and we return it with a programmed Maserati flip key for select Marelli BCM systems.

Maserati Engine ECU Clone
Cranks but won't fire after a used Maserati ECU swap? The engine ECU is married to the Body Computer immobilizer, so a donor from another car never starts yours. Mail in your original plus a matching donor and we clone the identity, immobilizer, and VIN data across on the bench — plug and play.

Maserati BCM / Body Computer Clone
No-start immobilizer fault or a used Body Computer that won't accept your keys? The Maserati BCM holds the immobilizer, key authorization, and config, so a donor from another car locks you out. Mail in your original plus a matching donor and we clone the Body Computer data across on the bench.
