Will This Fix My Problem?

Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.

Fixes:

  • All keys lost — van will not start and there is no spare
  • Need a spare key without a dealer appointment or a tow
  • Key turns but the van cranks and dies (immobilizer)
  • Replaced a module and now no key is recognized
  • Worn key that has become unreliable

Won't fix:

  • Only need a start-only key? The Sprinter valet key service is $250 — same parts shipped, lower price
  • Mechanical ignition lock or steering-lock failure
  • Fuel, glow-plug, or starting faults unrelated to the immobilizer
  • A "START ERROR" that is really the ECM counter fault — see our Sprinter Start Error service
  • 2019+ VS30 Sprinter — send your VIN and we will confirm before you order

A van with no keys is a van that earns nothing

Sprinters are working vehicles, and the dealer path — tow it in, wait for an appointment, wait for parts — costs far more in downtime than in parts. Mail-in bench programming keeps the van where it is: you pull the modules we specify, ship them overnight, and we turn them around in 24 hours. Tell us your VIN and generation first and we will tell you exactly what to send so nothing is shipped twice.

Shipping Instructions

These details are also emailed to you the moment your payment clears.

Ship the EIS (the immobilizer module — WSP/SKREEM on the earliest vans; text your VIN FIRST and we confirm exactly which box to pull) AND the driver's door lock — the lock is decoded on the bench to cut your new blade. Include any old keys. Ship to PO Box 120241, Arlington TX 76012 (USPS) or 1009 Oakwood Ln # 120241, Arlington TX 76012 (UPS/FedEx). Return shipping is selected and paid at checkout — Standard $24.95, UPS 2-Day $54.95, or UPS overnight $94.95. Most Sprinter owners choose overnight both ways because the van is not earning while it sits.

What to include in your box

  • The EIS / immobilizer module for your generation (we confirm by VIN before you ship)
  • The driver's door lock (we decode it to cut the new blade)
  • Any existing keys, even ones that no longer work
  • VIN + year, and a printed order confirmation
  • Your name, return address, and phone number

Frequently Asked

Still have a question? Text us — replies in minutes.

What do I need to ship for an all-keys-lost Sprinter?
Two things: the EIS — the immobilizer module, called the WSP/SKREEM on the earliest vans — and your driver's door lock, plus any old keys you still have. Text your VIN and year first and we will tell you exactly which box to pull for your generation; that one message prevents the most common problem in mail-in work, which is shipping the wrong part and losing a day.
Why do you need my door lock?
The new key needs a cut blade, and on these vans there is no reliable key code to look up — the cut lives in your locks. We decode the driver's door lock on the bench and cut the blade to match it. The lock ships back with your key and reinstalls exactly as it came out.
Is all-keys-lost more expensive than a spare?
No. It is the same bench work at the same $375 flat price for the remote key. Losing every key does not cost you extra here, which is deliberately different from how the dealer prices it.
Is there a cheaper option than the remote key?
Yes — the Sprinter valet key service is $250 for a start-only key with no remote buttons, made from the same EIS + door lock shipment. For a fleet van where drivers lock up with the door key anyway, many operators prefer it.
Does this cover Dodge and Freightliner Sprinters?
Yes. The T1N-era vans were sold under Mercedes-Benz, Dodge and Freightliner badges and are the same vehicle underneath. Later W906 vans carry Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner badging. Everything up to 2018 is covered; 2019+ VS30 vans are a different system — send your VIN and we will confirm before you order.
My van cranks but dies after two seconds. Is that a key problem?
That pattern is usually the immobilizer refusing to authorize the engine, which this service addresses. On T1N vans it can also be the ECM start-counter fault, which is a different repair — send your VIN and symptoms and we will tell you which one you have before you order.
