A standard clone needs a readable original — power it up, read the memory, write a donor. When the module won't power up or won't communicate, most shops stop there and tell you it's dead. That's exactly what this tier is for. We evaluate the board first: micro-soldering can repair damaged power supplies and tracks and bring a unit back, and where the processor is gone we read the memory directly — in-circuit or chip-off — to pull the identity and immobilizer data onto a donor. Recovery is never guaranteed, so we evaluate first and never charge for a recovery we can't deliver. Proof of ownership is required.

What kind of modules can you recover?
Mostly engine ECUs across the common families — Bosch ME/MED/EDC, Continental/Siemens (SIM, SIMOS, PCR), Delphi, Denso, and Marelli — plus many body and transmission modules. If your unit is dead, burnt, water-damaged, overvolted, or won't communicate, it's a candidate. Send us your VIN and a photo of the module label and we'll tell you whether recovery is realistic before you ship anything.
My module is completely dead — is recovery even possible?
Often, yes. "Dead" usually means the board can't power up or answer, not that the data is gone. We repair damaged power supplies and tracks with board-level micro-soldering to bring the unit back, and where the processor itself is destroyed we read the memory chip directly — in-circuit or chip-off — to extract the identity and calibration data. It isn't guaranteed on every unit, which is why we evaluate first.
How is this different from a normal clone?
A standard clone needs a readable original: we power it up, read it, and write a donor. This service is the tier above that — for units that WON'T power up or respond, so a normal clone is impossible. We add board repair and direct chip-level memory reads to recover the data first, then transfer it. That's also why it's priced higher than a straight clone: it's more work, with real bench time before any data comes off.
Do you charge if the recovery fails?
We evaluate the module first and tell you whether recovery is realistic before we bill the recovery. If the memory die is physically destroyed or the silicon is beyond reading, some units simply can't be recovered — and we don't charge you the recovery fee for a recovery we can't deliver. You'll always know the outcome and any cost before we proceed.
Do I need a donor module?
It depends on your module's condition. If we can repair yours and get it responsive again, no donor is needed. If the board is beyond repair, we read the memory and transfer the identity/calibration data onto a healthy donor you supply — we tell you at the evaluation stage which path yours is and what donor to source, so you don't buy one you don't need.
Can you recover the immobilizer / key data too?
Yes — the immobilizer and drive-authorization data lives in the same memory we're recovering, so it comes across with the identity and calibration where the read succeeds. Cloning keeps the factory immobilizer fully intact; this is a recovery, not a delete or bypass. Because it touches security data, proof of ownership is required before any work begins.
Do you cover water- and fire-damaged modules?
Yes — flood, coolant intrusion, corrosion, and fire/overheat damage are exactly the cases this tier exists for. Corroded boards can often be cleaned and repaired; where heat has cooked the processor we go to a direct chip read. Ship it dry (don't try to power a wet module) and tell us the history so we can plan the recovery.
