Advanced ECU & Module Data Recovery — Dead, Burnt, Water-Damaged & No-Communication Units
Another shop said your module is dead? When an ECU won't power up, won't answer on OBD or the bench, or was killed by water, fire, or overvoltage, a normal clone is impossible — this is the premium recovery tier: board repair, chip-off memory reads, and identity transfer to a healthy donor. Evaluated first, and we never charge for a recovery we can't deliver.
Sending several modules? Add them all — one box, one return-shipping charge.
Dead, burnt, water-damaged, overvolted, and no-communication ECUs / control modules — Bosch ME/MED/EDC, Continental/Siemens, Delphi, Denso, Marelli families across most brands. Verified by VIN + module label before you ship.

Will This Fix My Problem?
Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.
Fixes:
- ✓ECU is completely dead — no power, no communication on OBD or the bench
- ✓Module damaged by flood, coolant, or corrosion and won't respond
- ✓Burnt, overheated, or fire-damaged control unit
- ✓Overvoltage, jump-start, or reverse-polarity event killed the module
- ✓Another shop said your module is "dead" or "unreadable" and can't be cloned
- ✓You need the identity / immobilizer data pulled off a dying module and moved to a donor
Won't fix:
- ✗Does not include the donor module — you source a matching used unit where a transfer is needed
- ✗Does not guarantee recovery — destroyed silicon or a cracked memory die may be unrecoverable
- ✗Does not repair damage outside the module (wiring, connectors, harness, grounds)
- ✗Does not fix a no-start caused by fuel, spark, sensors, or a dead vehicle battery
- ✗Does not remove or bypass the factory immobilizer — drive authorization stays intact
- ✗Does not turn a scrap board with no readable memory into a working module
- ✗Does not bypass proof of ownership
When another shop said your module is dead
A standard clone needs a readable original — power it up, read the memory, write a donor. When the module won't power up or won't communicate, most shops stop there and tell you it's dead. That's exactly what this tier is for. We evaluate the board first: micro-soldering can repair damaged power supplies and tracks and bring a unit back, and where the processor is gone we read the memory directly — in-circuit or chip-off — to pull the identity and immobilizer data onto a donor. Recovery is never guaranteed, so we evaluate first and never charge for a recovery we can't deliver. Proof of ownership is required.
Shipping Instructions
These details are also emailed to you the moment your payment clears.
Verify first: text or email us your VIN plus photos of the module and its label, and tell us what happened to it (flood, fire, overvoltage, dead, no-communication) — a technician confirms recovery is realistic and whether you'll need a donor before you ship. Then send the module (and the donor, if a transfer is planned) to PO Box 120241, Arlington TX 76012 if you ship USPS — or 1009 Oakwood Ln # 120241, Arlington TX 76012 if you ship UPS or FedEx (UPS and FedEx cannot deliver to a PO Box). We evaluate, recover, and test on the bench, then ship everything back via the return option you pick at checkout (Standard $24.95, UPS 2-Day $54.95, or UPS overnight $94.95).
What to include in your box
- The damaged module itself (ECU / PCM / other) — even dead, we may still read it
- The donor module too, if a technician planned a data transfer
- Year, make, model, and engine (e.g. 2013 BMW 335i N55)
- VIN of the vehicle
- The module part number / a clear label photo (we pre-check it)
- What happened: flood, fire, overvoltage, jump-start, dead, no-communication
- Proof of ownership (title, registration, or bill of sale)
- Your name, return address, and phone number
