Will This Fix My Problem?

Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.

Fixes:

  • Retrofitted power door locks (AU3) on an 03-07 Silverado/Sierra that need turning on in the BCM
  • Retrofitted power windows (A31) that move on the switch but are not coded in the BCM
  • Added UK3 steering-wheel audio controls on an 03-07 truck — BCM-only enable included
  • Colorado / Canyon / H3 with fog lamps fitted but T96 never enabled
  • Colorado / Canyon / H3 with the keyless receiver present but AU0 not coded
  • Re-imported Canadian/export truck with mandatory always-on DRL
  • Want DRL off, or DRL remapped to turn signals / fog lamps
  • Added factory-wired fog lamps that need enabling
  • LED turn signals hyperflashing / bulb-out warnings
  • Want factory remote start added, or longer remote-start run time
  • Added factory heated/cooled seats that need enabling

Won't fix:

  • Features whose physical wiring/hardware is not installed — we enable an option, we do not wire one in
  • Cannot enable AU3, A31, UK3, T96 or AU0 on a truck missing the motors, switches, lamps or receiver
  • Does not replace or clone a failed BCM — see our GM BCM Standalone Clone service
  • Post-2020 T1 trucks and the 2022.5+ refresh Silverado (different BCM)
  • Instrument-cluster indicators that need separate cluster programming
  • Anything requiring the cluster or radio module (separate services)
  • Never any odometer rollback — mileage is preserved as-is, always

Work-truck spec, or a Canadian import with always-on DRL?

Plenty of 2003-2007 Silverados, Sierras, Colorados and Canyons left the factory as base builds, then had power locks (AU3), power windows (A31), steering-wheel controls (UK3), fog lamps (T96) or keyless entry (AU0) added later — and the parts work mechanically but the BCM was never told the option exists. We enable those RPO codes on the bench for your VIN so the factory logic actually runs them. Same service handles the other direction on newer K2 trucks: Canadian-market GM trucks are built with mandatory daytime running lamps, and reflashing the BCM to "stock" just reloads the Canadian configuration, so it will not turn them off — we reconfigure US-spec headlamp/DRL behavior instead. The one hard limit either way: we enable options, we do not install hardware. If the motors, switches, lamps or receiver are not in the truck, no amount of programming will bring the feature to life, so we check your VIN and RPO sticker before you ship.

Frequently Asked

Still have a question? Text us — replies in minutes.

Does one price cover multiple features?
Yes. The BCM tune is licensed per VIN and unlocks the whole feature set, so $450 covers every supported change you want in one pass — RPO codes like AU3, A31, UK3, T96 and AU0, plus DRL, lighting, remote start, hyperflash delete, and the rest. Tell us the full list when you order.
Can you add power locks (AU3) or power windows (A31) to an 03-07 Silverado or Sierra?
Yes, where the hardware is there. AU3 power door locks and A31 power windows are RPO options the BCM has to be told about, so a base truck that had the actuators, motors and switches added still behaves like a base truck until the BCM is reconfigured. Send your VIN and a photo of the RPO sticker and we confirm what your build can take before you ship.
Can you enable UK3 steering-wheel controls on an 03-07 truck?
Yes, including BCM-only jobs where the radio side is already handled and only the body control module needs the option turned on. The steering-wheel switches and the clockspring circuit have to be physically present — we enable the option, we do not install the switch pack.
What about T96 fog lights and AU0 keyless entry on a 2004-2007 Colorado or Canyon?
Both are covered on this page, and the same applies to the Hummer H3 on that BCM family. T96 enables the factory fog-lamp function and AU0 enables remote keyless entry. The fog lamps, switch and harness, or the keyless receiver circuit, must already be in the truck for the enable to do anything.
Can you enable a feature if the parts are not installed?
No, and we will tell you so before you spend money. Programming enables an option the vehicle is already built to run; it cannot create hardware. No BCM tune will make locks cycle without actuators, windows move without motors, fog lamps light without lamps, or a fob work without a receiver. That is why we verify by VIN and RPO sticker up front.
Is this the same as your GM BCM clone service?
No — they solve opposite problems. This page ENABLES factory options on a BCM that works. The GM BCM Standalone Clone service COPIES a failed BCM to a matching donor, carrying your VIN, true mileage, theft-deterrent data and existing coding across. If your module is dead you want the clone; if the module is fine but the option is switched off you want this. Send your VIN and symptoms and we will tell you which.
My truck was imported from Canada — can you make the DRL turn off?
Yes. We reconfigure the BCM to US-spec headlamp/DRL behavior. Flashing to "stock" does not do this because the VIN was built as a Canadian truck; our reconfiguration changes the lighting behavior itself.
Can you add factory remote start to a truck that did not come with it?
Yes, where the truck supports it — we enable the factory remote-start function in the BCM. Some builds also need a hood switch or other hardware for full function; we tell you what your VIN needs before you ship.
Will I lose any of my existing settings?
No. We preserve all your factory coding and only change the specific features you ask for.
Do fog lamps / heated seats need anything besides programming?
Programming enables the feature, but the physical wiring and hardware must already be installed (factory-correct). If a cluster indicator also needs enabling, that can be a separate cluster-programming step — we flag it up front.
Which trucks are covered?
Three platforms. 2003-2007 GMT800 Silverado and Sierra 1500/2500/3500 for AU3, A31 and UK3 enabling. 2004-2007 Colorado and Canyon plus the Hummer H3 for T96, AU0, AU3, A31 and UK3. And 2014-2018 Silverado/Sierra 1500, 2019 1500 LD, 2015-2019 2500/3500, 2015-2020 Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon/Escalade and 2015-2018 Colorado/Canyon for the full K2 feature set. The 2022.5+ refresh Silverado and 2020+ T1 trucks use a different BCM and are not covered here.
