GM TEHCM Solenoid-Pack Transmission Control Module Cloning — Mail-In Bench Service (6L & 6T Six-Speeds)
Wrench light, "Service Transmission," harsh or no shifts, and stuck in limp mode after a valve-body or solenoid-pack swap? Mail in your original TEHCM plus a matching donor and we clone the VIN, calibration, and adaptation across on the bench so the replacement drops in — no dealer SPS programming trip.
Sending several modules? Add them all — one box, one return-shipping charge.

Will This Fix My Problem?
Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.
Fixes:
- ✓Valve body / solenoid pack replaced and the transmission won't shift right until the module is programmed
- ✓"Service Transmission" or wrench light with internal mode switch or solenoid performance codes
- ✓Used TEHCM installed and the vehicle is stuck in limp / failsafe (single-gear) mode
- ✓Harsh, delayed, or no shifts after a solenoid-pack swap on a 6L or 6T six-speed
- ✓New AC Delco solenoid-pack TEHCM that needs your VIN and calibration before install
- ✓You want to avoid a dealer SPS programming trip for a module you already have
Won't fix:
- ✗Does not include the donor solenoid pack / TEHCM — you source a matching used or new unit (we verify the part number first)
- ✗Does not repair mechanical valve-body wear, worn clutches, or a failing pump — that is a transmission mechanical repair, separate from the module
- ✗Does not replace the shift-adaptation relearn drive cycle done at the car after install — the transmission relearns fast-idle and shift pressures on the road
- ✗Does not cover the 8-speed T87A Global A TCM — that is our separate GM T87A clone / unlock service
- ✗Does not cover the 10-speed 10L80 / 10L90 or Global B (T93) controllers under this listing — contact us to verify yours
- ✗Does not fix codes caused by a low or contaminated fluid level, wiring, connectors, or a failing internal harness
- ✗Does not bypass proof of ownership
The TCM lives inside the solenoid pack — replace one and you replace both
On GM's 6L and 6T six-speeds the transmission control module is not a separate computer bolted to the case — the TEHCM is built into the valve body / solenoid pack. So when a mode-switch or solenoid fault forces a solenoid-pack replacement, the module goes with it, and the new pack carries no VIN, no calibration, and none of your transmission's learned adaptation. The dealer answer is an SPS session on GM's servers. The bench answer is this clone: we copy your original TEHCM's identity onto the donor so the car accepts it as its own. Remember this is data, not mechanics — the donor pack must match your part number, and the transmission still needs its shift-adaptation relearn drive cycle after install.
Shipping Instructions
These details are also emailed to you the moment your payment clears.
Verify first: text or email us your VIN plus a clear photo of your original TEHCM / solenoid-pack part-number label (and the donor's, if you have it) — a technician confirms the family and part number are a compatible match before you ship. Then send both units (your original TEHCM for the clone, plus the donor) to PO Box 120241, Arlington TX 76012 if you ship USPS — or 1009 Oakwood Ln # 120241, Arlington TX 76012 if you ship UPS or FedEx (UPS and FedEx cannot deliver to a PO Box). We clone the data on the bench, test communication, and ship both back via the return option you pick at checkout (Standard $24.95, UPS 2-Day $54.95, or UPS overnight $94.95).
What to include in your box
- Your original TEHCM / solenoid pack (for the clone) AND the donor solenoid-pack TEHCM
- Year, make, model, engine, and transmission (e.g. 2015 Silverado 1500 5.3L 6L80)
- VIN of the vehicle
- GM part number off BOTH module / solenoid-pack labels — we pre-verify the match
- What is wrong now: mode-switch code, solenoid performance code, limp mode, cranks-shifts-wrong after swap, etc.
- Whether the transmission is otherwise mechanically healthy (fluid level, no slipping) so we can flag mechanical vs module issues
- Proof of ownership (title, registration, or bill of sale)
- Your name, return address, and phone number
